About CargoTrax®

CargoTrax Ltd, (earlier known as MobinTeleCom), a Finnish company, was incorporated in 2002, immediately after the tragic aftermath of 9/11, to explore security solutions available for Fleet Management, applicable to other environments.

After two years of successful land trials and commercial installations in cooperation with Securitas Group of Finland and TeliaSonera Group, CargoTrax decided to move its focus to apply the technical experience and expertise gathered onto the Intermodal Container market.

Concurrently, CargoTrax ventured into cooperation with leading Singapore government owned technology companies to commence the development of Telematics equipment for the container market applications.

The CargoTrax Fleet Management logistical security is based on tried and tested GSM technology, was not sufficient to enable Global Real Time Live Tracking End-to-End connectivity when an asset is out of GSM Terrestrial coverage.

With the cooperation of European Space Agency - (ESA) information resources, CargoTrax was directed to German Aerspace Centre - (DLR) where several scientists were developing an innovative concept to create a continuous stream of connectivity utilising GSM technology.

The development of Base Transceiver Station - (BTS) or simply referred to as the "Pico Cell" acts as hub of communications connectivity between a GSM<->GSM, globally, without Terrestrial coverage.

In 2003, the leading scientists at DLR converted their development and incorporated a commercial spin-off, TriaGnoSys GmbH to give rise to GSM<->GSM connectivity in passenger aircraft, which is currently a commercial concept successfully deployed by major airlines.

With successful trials of GSM<->GSM connectivity in passenger aircraft behind TriaGnoSys GmbH - (TGS), the technology was adapted to meet the demands of the global container market.

Currently, CargoTrax® is engaged in the Pilot Trials of applying the combined technologies of Global Real Time - 24x7 Live Tracking - End-to-End -Intermodal container traffic on Secure Supply Chain Logistics Architecture.

However, Secured by CargoTrax® is engaged in developing the second and the third generation of security products to meet the growing needs of an explosive cargo and freight markets which are responsible for over 90% of the global cargo traffic.
